The Old Mission Peninsula aims to turn the peninsula pink — and not with cherry blossoms — during its inaugural Rosé Between the Bays event.
That’s when area wineries plan to showcase rosé, a popular summertime beverage for many adults. Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail Director Alaina Korreck said rosé is closer to a red than a white wine. Winemakers use regional red grapes to make it, but they take them out a little sooner to produce a pinkish blush.
